My heart is full...

From the bottom of my heart I'd like to thank all of you that visited us during Serendipity Market, I'm always moved by the loyalty of our clients, you are wonderful! As you know, the only promotion for this first time event was through our blogs and mailing list so we didn't have a clue what to expect in attendance. I am thrilled with the turnout, even in spite of the the cold and wind on Saturday, loyal customers came and shopped with us. Thank you!

I'd also like to thank Tina, Monica, Rebekah, Allie, Kirk, Josh, and of course my supportive hubbie for all their hard work before and during the show.

And a big thanks to Patina Green and Linda/Ludmil for their participation and beautiful presentation. It was an honor to have you!

We enjoyed a lovely dinner with Tina and Milton last night, got a good nights sleep and are now preparing for Canton First Monday! Please visit us at our booth in the Arbors and/or the store, we will be open Thursday Feb 26 - Sunday March 1.

We will host Serendipity Market again this Fall, I will share more details in a future post.

Spotlight on Katie's Rose Cottage

There are so many wonderful blogs out there, one of my personal favorites is Katie's Rose Cottage.

Lori's page is not only a joy to read, it's a feast for the eyes. She's very generous in sharing, not only ideas, but people. Lots of great links on her page, it's filled with lots of inspirational ideas and decorating tips.

And on a personal note, I've had the joy to meet Lori several times at Canton and she's truly a doll, she's the genuine sweet article! If you've not already, stop by and visit her page, it's sure to please!

Keep up the great work Lori, may 2009 be a wonderfully blessed year for you!

I think we're on to something!

What an amazing day.....I mean amazing! With a crowd already waiting before we opened, we hit the ground running and didn't get a chance to look up until after 1pm!! There was 5 of my crew on deck today and we were definitely understaffed! Who could've guessed it?

From the bottom of my heart, thank you! We had several groups of women that drove from Louisiana just to come to the event, another group that drove in from Austin, one group that came in from Little Rock, and a large number of fellow bloggers!! The support and encouragement from our clients is the best part of this business! Thank you for that!

Serendipity Market has super exceeded every hope I had for the event, so much so that I'm already in the planning stages for a repeat performance in the Fall. I've got something extra special in mind on a much, much grander scale....can't wait to share with you in a future post!

Had to share more of the one of a kind offerings from Patina Green and Linda/Ludmil....they are blessed with so much talent!

Patina Green finds and makes so many one of a kind items, it's hard to choose a favorite, but I particularly loved the file folders pictured above with vintage tea-stained botanical pages.....just fabulous!

Linda handmakes every part of the dresses pictured above from vintage lace and treasures, even the paper is vintage! Absolutely beautiful!

There's still one more day to catch Serendipity Market, we'll be here Saturday 9am-5pm. See you there!

Tomorrow's the Day!

Lots of activity inside and out today! Kaci and Luann were here bright and early and began nesting immediately on the porch. Linda and Ludmil arrived shortly thereafter and jumped right into their loaded trailer.

Meanwhile, we were working feverishly inside the store getting things ready. So, when I walked outside this afternoon, I was completely blown away! Just off the charts amazing, breathtakingly beautiful....such talent! You will not believe the quality antiques and one of a kind items they've brought to share, nor will you believe the incredible displays! It's just a class act all the way! I am honored to have them participate in this with me!

Judging by the emails and phone calls today, we are expecting a great turnout...just amazing! And the blessings continue with the weather forecast of 70 degrees and sunny! Everything is ready, we're just waiting for you! Join us 9am - 5pm tomorrow and Saturday! You will not be disappointed!

I will leave you with a sneak peak of things to come...

See you tomorrow!

It's crazy here right now....getting everything ready for your visit! We're a mere 4 days away and I'm so ready to share with you!

On a personal note, I'd like to thank the scads of bloggers that have placed info about Serendipity Market on their personal blogs, it means so very much to me, Kaci and Luann of Patina Green, and Linda and Ludmil. Thanks for all the support, encouragement, and friendship!

See you on Friday!

We're in the home stretch!

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm sorry I've been away so long, but with Serendipty Market rapidly approaching I've been burning the midnight oil for weeks!

Tina and Monica joined hubby and I at the store today, we worked our patooties off, but had a great time! I just love them to pieces!

For those of you planning to join us on Friday, be ready! I think my eyes may have overloaded the store this season.....so think abundance......I mean ABUNDANCE!!! Can't wait....just 6 more days!! See you next Friday, the 20th!!

Anyone need a ladder?

We did a little painting today.....Allie opted for her own version of a ladder - her boyfriend, Justin!

The store's a Texas size mess right now! I keep reminding myself...it has to get worse before it gets better! We start bringing in some of the wonderful antiques tomorrow....can't wait!

Blessings,

Let the games begin!!

What a wonderful show February proved to be, best February we've ever had! Lots of bargains were had and the store looks like it!! The booth was so empty by yesterday afternoon it looked like we had already packed up! We were a great partnership, you enjoyed the sale prices and I have less to move out for the Spring makeover!! Thank you for that!

Having three warehouses filled to capacity, it was difficult to avoid the temptation not to bring out a sneek peek of some of the Spring things, but I managed...it’s always so much better to wait!! However, we’re not waiting much longer, Serendipity Market is just around the corner...Friday, February 20 and Saturday, February 21, 9am – 5pm. Get ready!! That’s what I’ll be doing for the next 17 days!!

Stay tuned for more updates before the event...
