Do You Live in a Glass House?

You might if it was as pretty as this.  These vintage sweeties belonged to my grandmother and have resided in a cabinet for years.  Until these petite apothecary jars....now they have a new home.

These jars are small, only 13 inches tall, and are perfect for these petite antique dolls that are so special to me.  I much prefer them this way so I can enjoy them up close.  Don't they look sweet nestled in bits of straw.....I love the texture it adds, and the mercury glass eggs on the tray.

By the way, this is a sneak peek of the bedroom makeover at 5th Place Cottage that is coming soon!  I shot it today and am very pleased!  I'm so excited to share it with you!

Where do you keep your special keepsakes?

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I didn't see the eggs online :) Are they on sale? I love the foil bunnies too. I want to place an order, but I wanted to find the eggs too.

  3. Hi LaurieAnna,

I'm loving all your makeovers at the ever so lovely 5th Place. Thanks so much for sharing all these inspiring photos.

I was curious where you found the thick pillow cushions you used on your industrial cart in front of your fireplace. I'm looking for something like this to use on a windowseat in my kitchen area. Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks so much and enjoy your weekend.

  4. Hi Laurie,
Thanks for visiting my blog and I'm so glad you did because so far I love yours! I love the idea of the old figurines in the apothacary jars....I might have to borrow that idea for my shop too. Hope you wouldn't mind since I'm in Massachusetts and you're in Texas. Too Cute idea!

  5. This is a pretty and different way to display your dolls, Laurie Anna. I like it! Aren't we always looking for different things to put inside apothecary jars {especially when there is no holiday coming up}. Love those mercury eggs! I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures!

  6. What a creative way to showcase your dolls! And Wow!---mercury eggs! Those are amazing! You know, I'm embarrassed to say, but I still have out the mercury acorns I bought from your Canton shop back last Fall! But they're so pretty, that I dont' want to put them away! So here they are with all my Spring and Easter stuff! I have to get some of these next weekend if you have them in your shop! Patti
