Bird's Eye View

Don't you love this time of year?  Bird nests in the trees, bees buzzing around the Wisteria, butterflies fluttering around in the Jasmine, everywhere you look....it's Spring!  But, my favorite thing....the birds.

Isn't it nice how the smallest things can make us smile?  We hung a new bird feeder from the Shoppe just outside the kitchen window and it's been such a treat.  Every time I gaze out of the window, I'm greeted by the sweetest lil feathered friends.

Look how sweet this lil guy is.  There's also the most beautiful pair of redbirds that feast here daily, but I can't ever catch them with the camera.

They all look at me through the glass as if to say, "How did you know?"

What would a yard be like without these beauties to serenade us daily?

"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.” -Maya Angelou

Do you feed the birds in your yard?...

  3. Laurie, I just love birds also. While I was visiting my parents we went back to a place I used to go to since I was very little. It is a wildlife preserve where the wild birds come and feed from your hand! I will be posting about it later this week with great pictures! Amazing experience. Kim

  4. What pretty pictures and a lovely quote ~
I have bird feeders and houses in my yard and could spend hours watching them. I think the same birds come back year after year -
    Have a lovely day!

  5. What a nice thing to see out your window! I watch the birds in my yard but don't feed them! I get a bit scared of them after being swooped when I was younger - ended up with a golf ball on my head, scratches and a black eye!!

I feed the humming birds and that's it - I'm afraid to say this out loud (confession time) but I have a very very fat cat... that moves very very fast...

but I LOVE to watch the humming birds!!!

  11. What a wonderful idea to have the feeder outside your window. Beautiful birdies!!
I haven't been feeding the birds as of yet this year. There are so many seeds and such for them still

  12. My birds think they've hit the smorgasbord here. Because I keep those bird feeders full of black oil sunflower seed.

  13. Don't you love it? Yup. I have a feeder that I can see in the morning, the moment I open my eyes. It is hung from the eaves and the birds love it! They are high enough to be safe from the cats and they seem happy about that. So happy, they sing me awake every morning. And I love it! Thanks for letting me share. And I am so glad you are enjoying yours! ~Mindy

I just wanted you to know I mentioned something in my recent blog post about your booth at Canton and my mercury glass birds.
