We're In!

Well, not moved in, but we now have physical possession of the house!

So, we spent a lot of time getting acquainted with our new place today.
Me with a camera, and hubster with a tape measure and graph paper. We were almost giddy newlyweds as we discussed and planned the space and the many possibilities.  Okay, well I was giddy, he was smiling a lot which is as close as he gets to giddy.

:-))

I have so many things to share with you in upcoming posts, but first had to share one thing in particular that really moved me.

Look at this....

The former owner left the original deed with the property, framed and hanging on the kitchen wall.

It reflects that the property was purchased from The Texas & Pacific Railway Company in 1892 for $60.
(I spent more than that putting fuel in my vehicle this morning.)

The fact that this original document is even still in existence is astounding.
The fact that she left it for us...

priceless.

We just love her and feel as though we've known her forever!
So much more to share with you.

A tour of the inside is coming soon!
