Dallas Market Center Exhibit

I spent the day at the Dallas Gift Market, which began by viewing an exhibit in the atrium of the Dallas Trade Mart titled, "Home for the Holidays".  Each room was the expression of a different interior designer(s) that used merchandise from various Dallas Market showrooms for the displays.

The end result reflected a great diverse collection of styles and colors.

  1. My favorite is the first room with the white, black and bright green!

  2. The room in the last photos looks unfinished, but the orange room is the bomb!

  3. Wow...the black and white room is amazing! Does not look very homey, but incredible to look at. I would love to bring in pieces of this in a more relaxed, comfortable environment. I guess I am just partial to your stuff. Maybe they should let you do one of these rooms!

  5. Denis, that room was my favorite too, great balance and scale. I also enjoyed the bedroom with the orange accents - I loved the blend of unexpected colors, grey, orange, olive/tan walls, and use of unusual furnishings. I really appreciated the space.

The cool thing about design is that right/wrong, good/bad, we can learn from all of it!

  12. Definitely a shift to a more contemporary, sleeker style. Love the lucite chandelier and the pops of color through out. I hope this is something we'll see more of...I'm personally crazy for a mid-century look.

  17. The first room is fabulous! Well they all are spectacular in their own way really. Modern pieces used in conjunction with antiques is a great way to balance each other out. It's quite glamourous in my opinion. Orange is definitely not a must have color for me...if that is indeed the 'must-have' color this fall/winter season. It does look nice in the photos and I may try to incorporate a little of it for a change at home.

    Blessings,
