Cowboys & Cowboys, Sky Ranch Gala

Larry Mahan
Honorary Celebrity Co-Chair
Roger Staubach and Larry Mahan; they’re both Cowboys, but that’s not the only thing they have in common. This year, they are the Honorary Celebrity Co-Chairs for the Sky Ranch Gala, “Cowboys & Cowboys”.  The premier event benefits Sky Ranch, an incredible ministry camp that has been serving families for over 50 years.

The event, which takes place Saturday, February 26th at the Marriot Legacy Town Center in Plano, will be attended by a virtual Who’s Who of Cowboys. Dallas Cowboys Superstar, Roger Staubach, and National Rodeo Champion, Larry Mahan, will attend alongside co-chairs, Walt Garrison and Rope Myers, with an array of other Cowboy stars from the rodeo arena and football field.

And, adding to the excitement, entertainment will be provided by Country & Western star, Aaron Watson!

Touted as one of the most exciting and entertaining chic Western events in North Texas, and for a great cause, it’s no wonder that when my sweetheart of a friend, Valarie, contacted me to sponsor the event and provide the decor, I was honored to do so.

And, to insure that things go smoothly, this week I recruited my friend Deidra (Dee Dee) Roe to give a hand. With our spring reveal of the store rapidly approaching, this month will be crazy busy, so Dee Dee is a welcome and talented addition!

Valarie has worked tirelessly corralling up the details for this event, hat's off to her dedicated efforts!  Currently she's accepting items for the silent and live auctions that will take place during the event. It's a great opportunity to support a wonderful cause and get your name out there at the same time.  So, if you've got the goods, contact Valarie asap!

Several sweet friends, Daphne Nicole, Annette's Touch of Class, Linda Cade Jewelry, have already donated some amazing things for the fund-raising auctions.  Thank you ladies!

If you’re interested in a fantastic evening of incredible dining, sensational entertainment, live auctions, and the opportunity to meet COWBOYS and more COWBOYS, you can purchase tickets online here or call 469-484-4840.

But act quickly as they are going fast!

    It's a truly magical place.

  12. Re The Sky Ranch, do you know how they manage their riding horse string? DO they buy new horses each year or keep the horses year round?
One ugly, decidedly un-Christian fact about many camps is that they get their horses from a wrangler set-up who in the off season culls their string sending many of the horses to slaughter for human consumption.
I encourage those who love animals and consider themselves Christians to find out where the horses go and how they are cared for and only frequent those establishments who are kind and humane to the real breadwinners of their businesses, and one of Gods most helpful-to-humans creatures, the horses.
