About

Born and raised in Texas, I'm a proud Southerner.  I spent almost two decades in the Corporate world before finding my heart in LaurieAnna’s Vintage Home.  And although the business officially began in 2005, the journey really began when I was a young girl.

Always drawn to design and anything creative, I’ve been in “training” most of my life. I spent my early years reclaiming vintage pieces and bringing them back to life with paint.  Later, I began decorating rooms for friends; living rooms, dining rooms, lots of bedrooms...never for money, I just did it because I loved it.

Then in 1996, hubby and I took reclamation efforts to new heights when we endeavored into our first historic rescue.  We’ve rescued many since!   Little did I know that in the midst of these things that were "my life", it was all part of a creative journey that has led me here.  Everything I learned led me to the next place; and step by step, year after year, the journey unfolded.

The past 7 years have been a whirlwind.  I began selling at Canton in a single booth in 2005. From one booth, over the next 2 1/2 years we would grow to 5 booths before adding a permanent 1600 square foot storefront in 2008. We operated two locations until 2010 when we moved into a MUCH larger space.

In 2010 we traded both of those locations for a 5,500 square foot permanent storefront and now in 2012 we are expanding to 8,000 square feet!  It's been a wild ride to say the least!

I am blessed to be married to my best friend who not only encourages me, but is willing to help with any project I throw at him.  Heavily involved in animal rescue, our home is always host to many furry critters.

My days are very full....I'm amazed and completely grateful to God for everything.  I've always followed the compass in my heart and I'm right where I'm supposed to be!  :-))
