Looking for an unusual way to serve beverages at your Christmas gathering? How about hanging punch cups on an old pototoe chip rack....
I found this old rack at Canton some years back and have used it for many things. Here, I've attached ribbon ornament hangers to the cup handles and hung them on the rack hooks. Isn't that lovely?
This rack could easily hold 30 or more cups, which means it's not only pretty, it takes a lot less counter space. Gotta love that......more room for food! Punch anyone?

Very clever idea indeed. I've passed those chip racks by many times at flea markets, shame on me!

I'm totally humbled at the cleverness of this idea. Now I'm off to a flea market to find old potato chip racks!
Great idea!! How do you keep the rack from turning over because of the weight of the cups?

I want a potato chip rack! You have another one? I'll buy it!
;-) Really I'm serious! xoxoxo
Theresa,
I was equally concerned about that, but it hasn't even been an issue. The base is a strong metal square that is quite strong, it doesn't even teeter. The fact that these were originally intended for commercial use could have something to do with the stability of the racks. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi LaurieAnna, thanks so much for visiting me....I do love my little treasures Cindy gave me. I wanted to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year....xxoo, Dawn
Hi LaurieAnna!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I immediately hopped over to see you, and as I was reading through your posts, I realized that I have been here before. I instantly recognized the BOO letters in the apothecary jars, which was one of my favourite blogging ideas I came acroos during Halloween! Your style is wonderful, and completely appeals to me...may I add you to my blogroll? I want to be sure I make it back!
Funny thing, I have been searching for a chip rack like that for years...I have had no luck, and now want one more than ever!
Merry Christmas!
Linda
