A frozen moment in time!!

Thank you to all that came by to visit LaurieAnna's Vintage Home this month, you made our first show of 2008 a wonderful success! Only in Texas can we have Antarctic conditions on Wednesday and Thursday and enjoy California temps the following day! Okay, so perhaps Antarctic is an exaggeration, but that’s how it felt to us Texas gals! Our set up time was slowed because we couldn’t keep our booties away from the heater! I'm really amused by that memory when I consider that I'm typing tonight in a sleeveless blouse!

Every show, I’m asked at least a half dozen times, “Do you have to set all this up and tear it down every show?” I always smile when I see people’s faces after my response. Not only is the answer yes, but we set it up in less than 24 hours! We arrive on the Wednesday morning before each show and work literally around the clock building a store so that we can be open by Thursday. Then, we reverse the process on Sunday when we tear it down. And, it’s only possible because I have awesome, dedicated people to help! It’s a lot of work, but we love it!

Thanks again for supporting us, I look forward to seeing you at our future shows

Yes, that is dedication to having a beautiful display. Where is Canton? I might just have to pop over to Texas the next time I'm in Hot Springs.

Laurie: no one can understand your hard work more than I!! I do it each time as well for every show, and I'm so tired afterward, but then I turn around and do it again, sometimes the next weekend!! The life of an Antique's Dealer...

Laurie, we stumbled across your booth on Friday, it was absolutely adorable. We were short on time and cash, unfornunately, but hope to linger when we have more of both AND warmer weather! LOL. Yes, frozen fingers and toes. But it was true lovely and hope to see you again.

Wow is all I can say about your booth in Canton. I've seen the pictures on your blog but it is so fabulous seeing it in person. Absolutely stunning! From what I saw it is one of the most popular booths there I enjoyed it very much.
Have a wonderful day.
