Firsts

This week marked a couple of "firsts" for us.  It was the first time we participated in the Mistletoe & Magic show, but an even bigger first.....it was the first time EVER that we hired help for a painting project.
While hubby and I were busy visiting and working in the booth, painters were busy working at the Farmhouse on Main.

I have a confession to make.....with our busy work schedule, we should have recruited help long ago.
Live and learn....

This is just a glimpse and I must tell you that I was delighted into tears when we entered in our exhausted state after tearing down at the show last night.

And, even more delighted this morning when the sun began peeking through the windows.

The difference that paint and a paintbrush can make never ceases to amaze me.  Just paint.....it's just paint....can you believe that?

I'm in love with the brighter space!  The downside of all this..... I had planned to rest today but there is no way I can't start decorating!

Lots more photos to come as well as a review and photos of the show, but my excitement got the better of me this morning and I just couldn't wait to share this peek with you.

I'm dying to know your thoughts so far....??
Talk to me....

OMG! It's beautiful Laurie Anna! I love that you left some of the dark wood around the windows, very unexpected. The pop of the dark wood against the white looks stunning. It's gorgeous and I'm drooling to see how you decorate it!

I found your blog at Dina's. I LOVE White walls, we are painting the inside of our entire house right now and all walls but two are white. I will only have the powder room in Dark Brown and the wall at the stairs in the same colors.

I LOVE white walls.

I was secretely hoping you would be painting it all white except the floor. I knew it would turn out beautiful because it is what my father's house looked like when he did the same. I am really enjoying being able to watch you work your magic on this dream home.

I can't believe it's the same space!

It appears as though you've gained extra square footage, just by painting it white.

It's gorgeous!

That is absolutely beautiful! And what a treat that you didn't have to do it. I like your black window trim too. I just did that on the window in my kitchen and I love it. I need some new curtains though. Can't wait to see what you do with yours!
