The Most Important Room in the House?

It seems that no matter how hard you work to decorate, clean and beautify the entire home, everyone always seems to gravitate to the kitchen.  Does this make it the most important room in the house? What are your thoughts?

One of our upcoming projects for the Farmhouse on Main is the kitchen.  I am crossing my fingers that we will have the time begin rolling up our sleeves and get the renovation started by May.  In the meantime, I can't help but gather inspiration pictures for our Farmhouse kitchen.

Love the pot display. And the chairs and distressed cabinetry are dreamy
glass front cabinet doors....

and no cabinet doors....
a chippy wood shelf above the farmhouse sink displaying teapots

Oversized cubby for storage and display.

These photos have been added to our "Places I'd Like to Cook" board on Pinterest.

Thanks you for stopping by and stay tuned...we will be sharing some sneak peeks from the upcoming show in March soon!

For me, the kitchen is absolutely the most important room in the house. I spend so much time there so it is really important to me that it be a place that I love. Your inspiration pics are gorgeous and I know your new kitchen will be amazing!!

LaurieAnna,

Looking forward to seeing your pinned inspiration and how your kitchen turns out. I know it will be spectacular! Every room you renovate and design is. Are you still hosting Farmhouse Fridays?

I LOVE that farmhouse sink the most...
I love benches and tables in the kitchen....
If I had it to do again....I wouldn't be swayed by the salesman that said "don't get that" and "you'll be sorry"...
We did insist on Ceaserstone for the kitchen....it is perfect! Especially with children and a sloppy cook like me...that we did get...
But that farmhouse sink...I should have shopped more....

All of the rooms you picked are beautiful inspirations. I know I am not the only one who loves to see your rooms when you have finished them. You have amazing talent, my wish would be to one day visit your store.

LaurieAnna: I love those kitchen pictures. I'm sure your kitchen will be even prettier. I want to redo my kitchen also, as it is the most important room in the house, but it wasn't always to me. I have just started really enjoying to cook so now need a kitchen that will make that happen easier. After 20 years it's about time!!!..Enjoy the rest of your day...Judy at GoldCountryCottage

Yes, I'd say the kitchen is the soul of the home.
Of the kitchen pictures you are showing, I especially love the one with the large farmhouse sink. So vintage and, well, homey! As always, I look forward to seeing what improvements you are making to your beautiful home.
