Vintage Farmhouse Christmas Photos

With all the craziness of the Holiday shows, we've not come up for air since October 23rd.  I've had photos for almost a month and no time to share....it's been crazy wonderful busy!

Our 1st annual Vintage Farmhouse Christmas was off the charts amazing!  We were blown away by the long line of customers waiting to get in....thank you for that....it was astounding!

It was humbling to discover the distances from which some of our visitors traveled....Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and many from Kansas and Missouri!  We are so very blessed.  From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.

The following are a few photos taken just before the event.

Still more photos to come!  And, we have something else coming up.....something very very big!

Anyone know what it is?...

Homeward Bound!

Goodness gracious the past two weeks have been a buffet of emotions!  Excited, exhilarated, energized, and now EXHAUSTED!!!

We spent a week in Jackson Mississippi participating in the Mistletoe Marketplace, and then without even a day off, we rolled right into Houston and strutted our stuff for a week at the Nutcracker Market!  And lest we not forget that all this hoopla began with the Canton show!  Three shows stacked right on top of one another!  I should have my head examined!  But, we had a good time and it was a wonderful success!  I've included a few photos of our space.

Many thanks to all of our faithful customers that sought us out, and also to the tons of new customers that found us at the events!  Attendance and sales were phenomenal!

Now, it's time for some well needed rest.  I will be catching up on blogs over the next couple weeks and sharing lots of photos!

Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful!

There is holiday decor, and then there is HOLIDAY DECOR!  Every year I get excited when I see all the Christmas beauties arriving, but never as excited as this year!  It's truly an inspiration!  Completely vintage inspired.....you're going to love it!

We've been working very very hard with us getting the Shoppe ready for your visit this Saturday.  It's your chance to get a sneak peek and first shot at the goodies BEFORE the First Monday show!

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday, Oct 23rd, 10am - 3pm!

Where will you be this Saturday?...

Why is it when I need to blog the most, I have the least amount of time to do so?

We've been busy bees, preparing the Shoppe for our first annual a Vintage Farmhouse Christmas!

Have you marked your calendar?

It all happens this Saturday, October 23rd, 10am - 3pm!

Hope to see you there!

Can it get any better?

Yes, it's been a week since I've posted....but hey, we were in the midst of a show.....a BIG show until Sunday!  Then it took me two days to recouperate!

We had a line of at least 50 customers waiting to get in on Thursday morning before we unlocked the door and that set the pace for the next 4 days.  I'm not sure if it was the fantastic Fall weather or the article in the Dallas Morning News, perhaps a combination of both, but, we've never seen the likes of the insane crazy wonderful growth that happened over the past 4 days!  I have since learned that the Dallas Morning News has the 4th largest readership in the Nation, so no doubt it was greatly responsible for the influx of the large amount of new customers.

Over and over we heard customers say, "I've never seen this many people at Canton before".  And, we are in complete agreement with you!  Each show we say, "We will never top that".  And each show, we do. Thanks to you!

Now being on the back side of our move into the much larger space I can firmly say that the timing was perfect.  Gardeners use the term potbound and that term certainly applied to us.  The old location was like a pot that was too small for a rapidly growing plant.  We needed a larger space to continue to grow and let me tell ya.....we are bursting out all over!!

All the new space has me super excited about our upcoming "A Vintage Farmhouse Christmas", because we can do so much more.  I get to play play play for the next couple weeks with the most delightful vintage inspired Christmas decor.....you're going to love it!  And, if that's not enough to get you excited, we're also in the midst of building out an additional 1000 square feet for you to shop.  We hope to have it ready in time for this event.

I've included a few photos of things you can find in the shop and online.

We have 6 more weeks of shows and then we will return to our latest restoration project, 5th Place.  I have some big plans for it and can't wait to share it with you!

A Vintage Farmhouse Christmas

As you know, each year we host two big events at the Shoppe. In the Spring we host our annual Serendipity Market, and in the Fall we do it up big for our Fall Preview Party.

This year, I'm excited to announce that we are adding a new event to our repertoire. On Saturday, October 23rd, we will host our 1st Annual “Vintage Farmhouse Christmas.”

After this upcoming First Monday show is over, we will lock the doors, drape the windows, and spend the next 3 weeks transforming the Shoppe with our beautiful vintage inspired Holiday decor!  This is always my favorite time of year, but this year's decor is by far the best we've ever had!  So much so that it inspired this event!

We will share a preview of our Holiday decor with you, our VIP clients, on Saturday, October 23rd, 10am – 3pm.

As you know, we do not advertise, so only those that are on our mailing list and/or read our blog / website will know about this.  Our VIP guests will enjoy the opportunity to get first choice of our Christmas treasures before the Holiday shows begin!

So, mark your calendars and save the date!

The Last Day!

Today's the last day to shop with us until the next First Monday show!  The turnout has been amazing and everyone is loving the new shoppe.  We've had the pleasure to meet so many new customers this month.   And, had more visits from excited bloggers and blog readers than I can even count, the power of the internet is astounding!

Come see us 10am - 4pm today before we lock the doors until next month!

Fireflies in a Jar

One of the biggest hits of the Fall Preview was the Mason Jar pendant lights that we created.  I've nicknamed them "Fireflies in a jar" because that's what they look like to me.  They were pretty spiffy on their own, but we jazzed them up even more by creating a "cord cover" of sorts from old industrial springs!  This made them very unique and completely our design.
Then, I took a few more jars and flipped them upside down as light covers on this large metal chandelier.  The result was a really cool blend of old and new.....it was definitely a hit!

I love the old aqua Ball mason jars, or as they are called by Ball, "Ball Blue".  Did you know that the Blue jars were preferred in canning because they blocked light from the food which made for better preservation and taste?  Nothing to do with the lights, but I thought it was an interesting bit of trivia.  I just like them for the pretty color!

I will probably be offline for the remainder of the week as I have a little business to take care of.....it's First Monday weekend!  And, if that's not exciting enough......it's supposed to cool down during this show....60s at night!!  How "cool" is that?

Come see us!  We'll be here Thursday - Sunday, and we have a brand new shoppe for you to browse and enjoy!!

Can you see me smiling from ear to ear?!

Fall Preview Photos Round 2

You didn't think I was done did you?  Lots more photos to share!  Take a look at our large clothing room, or as we refer to it, the Flax room!
I absolutely love this section of the new shoppe.  Take a look....

Okay, seriously now, isn't that huge clock wonderful?  I love it almost as much as the antique dry goods sign.....almost!

Any guesses as to what I used on the wall treatment in this room?....

Time's up....it's tissue paper!  288 sheets, 4 boxes of staples, a hammer tacker, and a bandage for my thumb.  I hammer tacked a staple all the way to the bone.  I stopped long enough to bandage it up and kept right on going.  How's that for a thumbs up?.  : )  My life is full of DIY adventures and mishaps!

Our clothing display racks.....vintage nesting boxes that were vigorously scrubbed and then clear coated!
They brought lots of smiles!

I've been collecting old galvanized funnels for a while. No idea why, they've just been speaking to me, probably the metal. When we began working on jewelry displays for the new shoppe, I thought they would make great display props....and boy did they ever!  I love the look of the pearls against the aged metal.
Our European soaps were one of the hottest things going! The best selling scent? Lemongrass!

Thanks again to all that visited during our special day, and thanks also for all the Facebook love yesterday!

I created a business Facebook page at 10am yesterday morning and  before I went to bed it had over 100 fans!  How cool is that?...  Just tickled me pink!  You guys rock!

I still have loads more photos to share, this shoppe is so big and I've only shown you a smidge of it.

But, first, it's time to get ready for First Monday!

This show is one of the big ones....will you be here?
