Make a Plan and it's Sold!

Thank you for shopping with us during First Monday and making it an amazing show! Between our Fall Preview and First Monday weekend, the Shoppe looks very empty. Lots of happy shoppers left with bag fulls of decorating goodies. Linens and upholstered items were a hit, and we sold scads of tables and beds!

We just acquired a small cottage in Canton for the shows that I've been decorating in my head over the past week. During this time, I became emotionally attached to two of the white iron beds in the Shoppe (pictured above) and had found perfect spots for them in the new cottage. That's always a big mistake in this business, because the moment you make a plan for a piece... it will most assuredly sell! And in true form, within 12 hours of saying aloud that the beds were going to the cottage, both of them sold! *sigh*

Oh well, looks like another road trip is in order this month. So, the girls and I, with an empty trailer in tow, are planning a trip to Round Top!

Oh Laurie Anna, that bedroom vignette is to DIE for! So much prettiness. Your ability to put together a display is unrivaled!

That's awesome that the beds sold and that you had a great Canton. The iron one was really really cool! Maybe that's a good sign that the economy is getting better and there are those still shopping. Hope to see you in Warrenton.

I found out about your store from a friend that has been raving about it for months and finally visited during our trip to Canton this month. I bought so many lovely things! Your store is so beautiful that it is almost overwhelming! I will definitely be back next month and am now a reader of your blog!

Isn't that funny how that works. I can't tell you how many times either Mayron or myself have decided we would keep something only to have it sell. Hope to see you in Warrenton.

Oh my, what a gorgeous shop! The antiques and arrangements of them are just beautiful. I am now a follower and I can't wait to see your future pictures and posts.
I sell my hand painted furniture along with antiques in a shop in Gettysburg, PA and I know the joy and sadness when something you really love sells. Come check out my blog when you have the chance!
