Patio Makeover Part 1 & Giveaway #3

Our lil weekend cottage was in such rough shape on the inside that we agreed to wait on the outside projects.   And, although prioritizing is an important role in renovation, who can prioritize with 70 degree temps and sunshine outside!?..  Certainly not us!  So, we switched gears and turned our attention to the side yard and patio last weekend.
We created this little nook in one area of the patio with salvaged flea market finds.   I really like how this little corner turned out.

Here's where we started.  The lattice fence is quaint enough, but it needed some character and warmth.

I love the old bricks, they've probably been there for 50 years or more.  We will definitely keep them although we may re-lay them sometime in the future.
We started by hanging an old shutter and a window from an old farmhouse.  This patio is not far from a busy street so these elements offer a little extra privacy as well as give the space some extra aged character.
For light in the evening, we hung one of our turkey feeder lights.  We've made and sold these for several years at the shoppe and I'm soon going to add them to the online store!  Customers love them!
Last, I brought in the antique chaise that I featured previously and a luggage rack that I bought from Ethel (she doesn't have a blog yet, but I'm told one is coming).  A piece of glass placed on top of the luggage rack and it makes a perfect outdoor table.  Simple natural accents complete the look and this breezy spot is ready to sit with a glass of iced tea and read magazines.
Move your mouse over the image below to see the transformation!

More to come on the patio...
Meanwhile, Giveaway #3 of celebrating our 5 Year Anniversary has officially begun.  The winner will receive a pretty French Script pillow just like the one pictured above....they are so charming with great neutral colors!

Entering to win is easy, just follow and comment.  Triple your chances by adding my blog button and linking back to this post!  I will announce the winner on Sunday!  Good luck!

Love the pillow, Laurie Anna! I have to say that the shutter and window you added by the lattice really made a difference for a quick addition. It looks like it separates the two areas a little bit, too. Love that chaise ~ you enjoy those magazines and iced tea!

I love that Chicago brick. My niece found one in her 100 year old home in Austin, Texas. I think there is a neat story associated with it but I sure can't remember what it is. (Gettin' old is tough!)

Hello clever points.. now why didn't i consider those? Off subject barely, is that this page pattern merely from an odd installation or else do you utilize a personalized template. I take advantage of a webpage i’m in search of to improve and properly the visuals is probably going one of the key issues to complete on my list.
